Master's Academy Eagles Triumph Over Lyman

Master's Academy Eagles were triumphant over Lyman 7-3 on Thursday.

Lyman got on the board in the first inning after Catalano induced Gold to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.

Master's Academy Eagles captured the lead, 2-1, in the bottom of the first after Catalano singled to right field, and Ball singled to center field, each scoring one run.

Master's Academy Eagles committed an error, which helped Lyman tie the game at two in the top of the second.

In the bottom of the second, Master's Academy Eagles broke up the tie when Moya scored after tagging up. Then an error followed to extend the lead to 4-2.

McMeel homered to center field, scoring two runs in the bottom of the fourth for the Master's Academy Eagles.

Catalano earned the win for Master's Academy Eagles. The starting pitcher gave up five hits and three runs (one earned) over seven innings, striking out eight and walking one. Chauncey took the loss for Lyman. The starter went six innings, giving up seven runs (four earned) on 10 hits, striking out two and walking one.

Master's Academy Eagles tallied 10 hits in the game. McMeel and Ball each collected two hits for Master's Academy Eagles. McMeel led Master's Academy Eagles with two runs batted in. The third baseman went 2-for-4 on the day.

Darwent led Lyman with two hits in four at bats from the leadoff position. Gold and Wilt each drove in one run for Lyman.

Master's Academy Eagles play at home on Monday against Flagler Palm Coast in their next game.
