Master's Academy Eagles Claim Victory Over Trinity Christian Academy

Master's Academy Eagles topped Trinity Christian Academy 8-4 on Monday.

Trinity Christian Academy were the first to get on the board in the first when a passed ball scored one run.

Master's Academy Eagles jumped back into the lead in the top of the third inning after Martin tripled down the right field line, and Catalano singled to left field, each scoring one run.

Trinity Christian Academy captured the lead, 4-2, in the bottom of the third when an error scored two runs, and Winters singled, scoring one run.

Moya singled to right field, which helped Master's Academy Eagles tie the game at four in the top of the fifth.

Master's Academy Eagles captured the lead, 8-4, in the top of the seventh after Peri singled to center field, Ball singled to right field, Williams singled down the left field line, and Trinity Christian Academy committed an error, each scoring one run.

Peri earned the win for Master's Academy Eagles. The hurler allowed three hits and four runs (zero earned) over six innings, striking out nine and walking two. Hoff took the loss for Trinity Christian Academy. The starting pitcher went six and two-thirds innings, allowing eight runs (five earned) on 13 hits, striking out three and walking one. Catalano collected the save.

Master's Academy Eagles piled up 13 hits in the game. Peri and Catalano were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected three hits for Master's Academy Eagles. Burkhead, Martin, Moya, Williams, Ball, and Catalano each drove in one run for Master's Academy Eagles.

Lewis, Jones, Lopez, and Winters each collected one hit for Trinity Christian Academy. Winters went 1-for-3 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in. Trinity Christian Academy turned one double play in the game.

Master's Academy Eagles play at home on Thursday against Lyman in their next game.
