Master's Academy Varsity Eagles bested DeLand 5-3 on Thursday.

Master's Academy Varsity Eagles got on the board in the bottom of the second inning after Peri singled down the left field line, and Moya grounded out, each scoring one run.

Master's Academy Varsity Eagles scored two runs in the bottom of the fifth on a home run to center field by Martin.

Catalano earned the win for Master's Academy Varsity Eagles. The starter gave up three hits and three runs (zero earned) over seven innings, striking out eight and walking one. Fantone took the loss for DeLand. The hurler went six innings, allowing five runs (three earned) on seven hits, striking out five and walking none.

Martin led Master's Academy Varsity Eagles with two runs batted in. The infielder went 1-for-3 on the day. Peri and Catalano each collected two hits for Master's Academy Varsity Eagles.

Cabrera went 1-for-3 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in. Fantone, Mathis, and Cabrera each collected one hit for DeLand.

Master's Academy Varsity Eagles play at home on Tuesday against Trinity Prep in their next game.
