Varsity Girls Basketball News

Our theme verse for this basketball season was Ephesians 5:1. This verse challenged us to be “Imitators of God, as dearly loved children, and live a life of love just as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.” This was a mountain only God could help us climb as we are weak, but He is strong. The varsity girls entered their Regional play with a 2nd place District finish. The girls traveled to Melbourne to compete against Florida Air Academy in the first round of Regionals. They ended up losing a tough battle 43-68. It was evident the girls did not go down without a fight with junior, Kelly Frisz, managing 21 points, and freshman, Jordan Macbeth totaling 16 points and 13 rebounds.
