The Lady Eagles finished up their season with a 9-15 record. Their last game of the year was a 1-11 loss against hard-hitting Mount Dora Bible (17-7). Morgan Phillips went 1-2 with a triple. The girls headed into the District Tournament with an 8-14 record. Last Monday, they played Father Lopez and won in a close 8-inning battle. Their first opponent for the tournament was again Father Lopez, who was seeking revenge after a 2-4 loss. The Lady Eagles clinched their ninth win of the season beating them 8-7. Morgan Phillips went 2-3 with a triple and 3 RBI’s. Kasey Lee went 2-5 with the game-winning hit. Read more ...
